Who We Are

Our Mission & Vision

Give help. Get help. It's as simple as that.

Mission Statement

HealthyKS exists to build a healthier, more connected & collaborative KS — for everyone.

For Resource Members

We provide a closed-loop, reportable referral system — so agencies can connect clients to the right help, track every outcome, and prove their impact.

For Sponsors

Fund a nonprofit's full Initiator membership — closed-loop referrals and a directory listing, free to them. Individuals, churches, foundations and businesses all sponsor.

For Kansas residents

We maintain a free statewide hub of owner-curated, up-to-date resources, healthy living tools, and practical tips — supporting the health of the whole person.

How HealthyKS Works

HealthyKS uses technology to connect nonprofits, empowering closed-loop referrals from one agency or case manager to another through the InSERVio® CRM+ software application - for the benefit of those they serve. Strengthening community, many nonprofit resource member agencies' membership costs are paid by individual & business sponsors & advertisers.

HealthyKS also brings owner-curated resources to Kansas residents, through the healthyks.org website, the HealthyKS Mobile App, and community events. Many of these resources are the same agencies listed in the InSERVio® CRM+ Referral Module.

1
Refer those in need to exactly the right agency

Connect clients to the right organization instantly using a closed-loop referral system built on the InSERVio CRM+ platform — so no one falls through the cracks.

2
Track each person's progress toward wellness

InSERVio CRM+ lets you follow a client's journey after a referral — closing the loop between your agency, the receiving organization, and the people you serve.

3
Report your impact with real, grant-ready data

Generate outcome reports for funders automatically from the referrals and cases your team is already managing — no extra data entry required.

4
Be found — by case managers and the community alike

Your organization is listed on the public healthyks.org directory and inside the InSERVio CRM+ resource module used by case managers statewide.

HealthyKS brings nonprofits into one coordinated, statewide network — so more people get the help they need, and your impact is visible, measurable, and recognized.

1
Join a network built around community health

Businesses, civic organizations, and health-adjacent providers all have a role in a healthier Kansas. HealthyKS gives your organization a recognized seat alongside nonprofits and community leaders statewide.

2
Get listed where people are actively looking for resources

Your organization appears in the public healthyks.org directory — where Kansas residents search for wellness resources and support close to home.

3
Grow your presence across Kansas

From social media features and event promotion to vendor booths at the Annual Fair, HealthyKS membership connects your brand to the communities you care about.

You don't have to be a nonprofit to make a difference. HealthyKS welcomes any organization committed to a healthier Kansas.

1
Choose where you give

$125 a month covers one nonprofit's full Initiator membership. Choose a state to support, or leave it open and we'll place your sponsorship wherever the need is greatest. Your card is saved, but nothing is charged until we place it.

2
Your sponsorship activates their full Initiator membership

The nonprofit you sponsor gets closed-loop referral capability — the ability to initiate, receive, manage, and report on referrals — plus a directory listing, free to them, funded entirely by you.

3
We match it with a nonprofit that asked

We pair your sponsorship with an organization that has told us they can't afford a membership, then email you to say who it went to.

4
See who your sponsorship supports

Your sponsor portal shows the nonprofits you fund, when each one started, and what you're giving — so you always know exactly where your money went.

Every sponsorship keeps a nonprofit connected to the closed-loop referral network — so no one in their community falls through the cracks. Stop whenever you like; they keep access through a grace period, never cut off overnight.

1
Find help — and save what matters to you

Search the healthyks.org directory for nonprofits, programs, and community resources near you. Bookmark agencies and build favorites lists for easy access.

2
Access healthy eating and active living resources

Explore curated resources on nutrition, fitness, and wellness through the HealthyKS website and mobile app.

3
Stay connected to what's happening in your community

Discover local events and programs posted by member organizations across Kansas — all in one place, updated regularly.

4
Emergency and county resources — coming to the app

The HealthyKS mobile app will bring county and statewide emergency management tools directly to your phone when you need them most.

HealthyKS is for everyone — whether you need food assistance, a walking group, mental health support, or simply want to live a little better.

Sponsor a Nonprofit

Fund a nonprofit's membership — no business required.

You don't need to be an advertiser to help. Individuals, churches, foundations and businesses can cover a nonprofit's full Initiator membership directly — closed-loop referrals, a directory listing, and analytics, free to the agency that receives it.

1. You sponsor

$125 / month covers one nonprofit's full membership. Choose a state to support, or leave it open. Your card is saved — nothing is charged until we place your sponsorship.

2. We match it

We pair your sponsorship with a nonprofit that has asked us for help affording their membership, and email you to say who it went to.

3. They get to work

Your sponsor portal shows who you support and lets you manage or stop your giving at any time. Stop whenever you like — they keep access through a grace period, never cut off overnight.

For Nonprofits

Can't afford a membership? Ask.

If cost is what's keeping your organization off HealthyKS, tell us. Sponsors fund memberships for nonprofits doing this work, and we match them with organizations that have asked. There's no cost to apply, no payment details needed, and no obligation.

We can't promise a match — it depends on sponsors being available. Your request stays open until one comes along, so there's no need to ask again.

Every tier gives you a presence in the network. Resource cards can now be bookmarked and added to user-created favorites lists - on the website, within InSERVio® , and on the HealthyKS Mobile App.

Can't cover the cost? A sponsor may be able to fund your Initiator membership at no cost to your organization — request assistance.

The People Guiding HealthyKS

Sandy Pelicano
Sandra Pelicano
Executive Director of HealthyKS

Sandra Stanton brings a rare and powerful combination of movement science, entrepreneurship, digital strategy, and community health advocacy to her role as Executive Director of HealthyKS. A graduate of The Juilliard School (B.F.A.) and alumna of the North Carolina School of the Arts, Sandy built her career at the intersection of physical wellness and public engagement.

Sandy performed professionally as a principal dancer with Twyla Tharp's internationally acclaimed touring company, where she developed a deep understanding of how movement, discipline, and physical health transform lives. She subsequently taught Tharp repertoire at colleges and universities throughout the United States and abroad, most recently serving as a Senior Lecturer at Hamilton College, where she designed and led curriculum connecting the performing arts with broader themes of health, embodiment, and human potential.

As founder and owner of her own private ballet and yoga instruction businesses, Sandy guided hundreds of students of all ages and abilities toward greater physical literacy, mindfulness, and lifelong wellness — the very principles that animate HealthyKS's mission. Her work as a small business owner also sharpened her instincts for community outreach, client engagement, and building sustainable programming from the ground up.

Sandy's leadership portfolio extends beyond the studio. As Director of Digital Marketing for an IT company, she developed and executed data-driven strategies encompassing content creation, brand development, social media, and public relations — equipping her with the digital fluency and communications expertise essential for advancing a statewide health initiative. Her ability to translate complex messages into compelling, accessible content positions her to amplify HealthyKS's reach across diverse communities throughout Kansas.

Sandy's life work reflects an unwavering belief that movement, wellness, and community connection are fundamental to human thriving — making her an ideal champion for a healthier Kansas.

Executive Director · HealthyKS
Don Stanton
Don Stanton
HealthyKS Housing Liaison

Don Stanton brings more than 25 years of wide-ranging professional experience to his role as Housing Liaison at HealthyKS — a career that spans real estate brokerage, property management, software development, technology support, training, and entrepreneurship. That breadth is precisely what makes him the right person to sit at the intersection of housing services, community partnerships, and the technology that ties them together.

As a former real estate broker and property manager, Don understands the housing landscape from the ground up — the barriers families face, the systems that serve them, and the gaps that too often fall through the cracks. His years as a programmer and tech support professional give him an uncommon ability to not only work within complex platforms, but to explain and teach them in ways that stick. And as an entrepreneur, he has consistently built things from scratch, rallied people around a shared purpose, and delivered results in environments where no roadmap existed.

At HealthyKS, Don serves as the primary bridge between the organization and its network of housing leads and housing navigators across Kansas. He trains partner agencies on the housing CRM and referral system, ensures that resources are equipped to use InSERVio® effectively, and works to grow the roster of housing providers listed within InSERVio® and on healthyks.org — so that more Kansas residents in need of stable housing can be connected to the right help, quickly and reliably.

Don believes that housing is the foundation from which every other aspect of health and well-being is built. His mission is to make sure that foundation is as strong, accessible, and well-coordinated as possible — one resource, one referral, and one trained navigator at a time.
